No-exam life insurance
How to recognize whether you qualify for fast-track underwriting, what the process involves, and what happens if you don't qualify.
Many carriers now provide expedited underwriting: if you fall within their age and coverage limits, they make a decision using your application, prescription records, driving history, and other data—skipping a paramedical exam. Decisions can sometimes come the same day. Each quote on this site tells you whether an exam is required, may be required, or is not required for that specific option.
What it changes
No exam doesn't mean no scrutiny. Your statements are checked, and a policy issued based on false information can be challenged in the first two years. If the carrier's records raise concerns, they may still request an exam or lab tests; you'll know this before you decide to move forward.
Who tends to qualify
Usually people under about 60 applying for amounts up to the carrier's accelerated limit, with no serious health issues and no tobacco use within the past year or longer. If you've had recent bloodwork from a doctor visit, some carriers will accept those results instead of an exam.
A paramedical visit usually takes 20-30 minutes, conducted by a certified examiner at a location convenient for you in the Clovis area, at no cost. For healthy applicants, exam results frequently result in a better rate class, so an exam is not necessarily a drawback.
